How it works
What you see.
01
Check readiness
Fifteen plain questions, free, about 2 minutes, with an instant result.
02
Apply with your existing documents
About 10 minutes.
03
Independent assessment
Your evidence is reviewed requirement by requirement. Your decision within 5 business days. Many files are decided sooner.
04
Decision and private findings
You are told exactly which requirements were met and which were not.
05
If you pass
Your badge, numbered certificate and public registry entry go live.
The decision time covers evidence review, officer verification and sign-off. Each year you complete a short re-attestation to keep your badge: diligence that keeps the registry accurate.
How the process stays simple
The standard is short on purpose: fifteen plain-language requirements, so it is easy to understand. Easy to read is not automatic to pass. Each requirement needs evidence, and nothing is issued without a signature.
Behind the scenes
AI assists. A person decides.
- Evidence is reviewed requirement by requirement.
- AI assists. A named person decides.
- The certification officer checks the evidence, resolves flags, may override with a written rationale, and signs.
- No certificate, certificate number or registry entry exists without that signature.
- Ethicality applies the same standard to itself, including human review of AI output.
Independence and conflicts
Nothing about the outcome pays anyone.
- The standard is published for anyone to read.
- Nobody is paid based on whether an organization qualifies.
- Ethicality does not sell remediation consulting.
- Officers with a conflict are removed from the file.
- Everyone with access to your file signs a confidentiality undertaking.
Your risk, reversed
Applying costs you nothing if you don't pass.
- Assessment is free.
- Your card is not charged unless you pass.
- If you don't qualify, your results stay private and nothing is published.
- One free re-review within 90 days.
- Your annual fee is fixed at the published amount when you submit.
Privacy and confidentiality
What is public, and what stays with us.
The registry shows
Organization name, standard and version, certificate number, issue and expiry dates, status, industry, the organization's website, and the signing officer.
Stays confidential
Vendor names, model identifiers and internal documents. Everyone with access to your file signs a confidentiality undertaking.
What the badge is and is not
A clear, narrow claim.
- It shows your AI-use practices were independently assessed against EAUS 1.0, effective September 16, 2026.
- One Ethicality Badge, no levels. Valid for one year, with a 5-minute annual re-attestation.
- Every displayed badge links to your registry entry. It may be suspended on credible concern of inaccuracy.
- It is not a legal compliance certificate and it is not ISO 42001.

FAQ
Questions careful buyers ask.
Why is it this simple?
The standard is short on purpose: fifteen plain-language requirements, so it is easy to understand. Easy to read is not automatic to pass. Each requirement needs evidence, and nothing is issued without a named officer's signature.
Is Ethicality incorporated?
Yes. Ethicality is operated by Ethicality Inc., a corporation incorporated in Ontario, Canada.
Do you have customers yet?
